Terms of Service

These terms are the rules for using the Wema app and website. By creating an account or using Wema, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Wema.

Who can use Wema

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
• You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login safe. One account per person.
• Wema is currently a test version. Features may change, break or be removed, and we may reset test data.

Being kind is the rule

Wema is for kindness. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post, send or share anything that:

• Harasses, bullies, threatens or shames anyone
• Is hateful toward anyone based on who they are
• Is sexual, or involves the sexualization or exploitation of minors in any way
• Shows or encourages violence, self-harm or dangerous acts
• Shares someone else's private information, or photos of people who didn't agree to be shown
• Is spam, a scam, or pretends to be someone else
• Breaks the law or someone else's rights

Reporting, blocking and how we enforce

• You can block anyone and report any post, message or account in the app.
• We review reports and act on them within 24 hours, which can include removing content and suspending or banning the account that posted it.
• We may remove any content or account that breaks these terms, with or without notice.

Cards are suggestions

• Cards are ideas for small acts of kindness. Use your own judgment. Never do anything that feels unsafe, costs more than you can afford, or makes someone else uncomfortable.
• Respect people's boundaries, including strangers'. A kind act should never be forced on anyone.
• Wema is not therapy or medical care. If you're in crisis in the US, call or text 988. Elsewhere, contact your local emergency number.

Your content

• You own what you post. By posting, you give Wema permission to store and show it to the audience you choose (Friends, Close Friends, Everyone or Just me) so the app can work.
• Only post photos and words you have the right to share.
• When you delete a post or your account, we remove your content as described in our Privacy Policy.

Our content

The Wema name, logo, card designs and card text belong to Wema. You may share screenshots of your own cards and posts, but you may not copy the card deck or the app.

No guarantees

Wema is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running and safe, but we can't promise it will always work or be error-free. To the extent the law allows, Wema is not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses from using the app, or for what users do offline.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, or see how to delete your account. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.

Changes

If we change these terms in an important way, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app. Using Wema after that means you accept the new terms.
